The wedding of Ava and Luciano, a couple from the Philippines, was a long-awaited celebration that perfectly encapsulated the beauty of resilience and love. After comig first to Puglia in 2019, their wedding plans were delayed due to the pandemic, but they never lost hope, and their commitment to each other was unwavering. In 2024, they finally tied the knot in the enchanting region of Puglia, bringing along their little son and making this journey even more special.

The ceremony took place at the stunning Cathedral of Conversano, its historic walls echoing with the emotions of their long-awaited vows. The reception was held at the breathtaking Masseria Le Torri, a beautiful rustic venue that perfectly set the tone for the evening. The décor was simple yet impactful – there were no flowers, just elegant cylinders filled with glowing candles, casting a soft, romantic light over the tables. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and tears, making it an incredibly emotional evening for everyone involved.

This wedding was extra special as it marked the end of the couple’s journey from the uncertainty of the pandemic to finally having their dream wedding. As my last “COVID couple,” Ava and Luciano’s celebration felt like a triumph of love and perseverance.

The catering was laid out as a fabulous buffet, offering a variety of delicious stations for guests to explore. One of the highlights was a mozzarella maker, adding an authentic touch to the Italian experience. As the evening went on, the festivities grew even more exciting with a fun prank orchestrated by the bride’s sister. A staged “fake fight” between two stuntmen waiters had everyone in stitches, surprising and even scaring the guests.

The cake cutting was magical – held beneath a large tree, it was a moment that seemed straight out of a fairy tale. The Dark Angel band provided the soundtrack for the evening, playing lively songs that kept the energy high and the guests dancing well into the night. It was a day full of love, surprises, and joy, a perfect celebration of Ava and Luciano’s journey and their commitment to each other.
